Homeowners were given the opportunity to landscape an easement adjacent to a rural grazing area. This design attempted to recreate a native grassland plant community to illustrate what California might have looked like before grazing animals were introduced. The plant palette included native perennial grasses, annual wildflowers, oakwoodland shrubs, and chaparral shrubs.
